Direct Shipment Instructions

Customers who are 61 miles or greater from the designated turn-in location (designated turn-in location is determined by the  zip code mapping tool  have two choices to make regarding the turn-in of their property.  They can either take the property to the designated turn-in location via their own transportation at their cost (must schedule a local turn-in appointment and be approved by the designated turn-in location site) or submit a request for a commercial truck to come pick up the property at your location at DLA’s expense.  Both options can be done through utilizing the Disposition Services Transportation Scheduler site.

Notice

Although a full truckload (24 pallets) is encouraged before ordering a truck, on a case-by-case basis a less than truckload can be scheduled for those customers who have low volume turn ins. Customers will be responsible to ensure property is packaged for safe transport i.e., triwalls, shrink-wrap, banded, palletized, etc.

To initiate a transportation request, navigate to the Transportation Scheduler and accept the consent to monitor page.
