Mr. Michael Perozziello is the Chief of the Strategy Management and Governance Division. He is responsible for assisting the Director in developing the Agency’s strategic plan and administering the Agency’s Governance process. He ensures the Strategic Management System (SMS) is fully synchronized with DLA's continually evolving strategic direction and transformational programs as well as the Department of Defense and Military Service strategic plans.

Mr. Perozziello has held several positions in the Defense Logistics Agency and the Naval Air Systems Command. His previous positions have included Warstopper Program Manager, Deputy Manufacturing Integrated Product Team Leader for the Joint Strike Fighter (F-35), and Senior Manufacturing Engineer for the design and development of the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet for which he was awarded the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Medal.

Mr. Perozziello holds a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The Pennsylvania State University and a Master’s of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Dwight D. Eisenhower School. He was a member of the Navy Acquisition Professional Community and has Acquisition Workforce Level III certifications in Production and Quality Assurance and System Planning, Research, Development and Engineering.

He is co-author of the business book Breaking the Cost Barrier: A Proven Approach to Managing and Implementing Lean Manufacturing, 2000, John Wiley & Sons for which he received the prestigious Shingo Prize for Manufacturing Excellence.
