Enterprise Process Management (DT-EPM)


Serves as Defense Logistics Agency’s Process Management Program Office. The Enterprise Process Management (EPM) office plans and manages process excellence efforts to improve Agency performance and deliver savings in costs, resources, and time.  

The EPM office enables, coordinates, and facilitates process integration, documentation and control across the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA).  The EPM team is responsible for DLA’s list of end-to-end business processes and uses models, metrics, and analysis to make evaluations and identify needed improvements.  Our office works with process experts across the Agency to ensure functions integrate smoothly and processes perform properly for our customers and suppliers. 

The EPM office coordinates and monitors all EPM activity and supports the agency's continued transformation to a process centric organization.

EPM is a holistic approach to the management of DLA’s end-to-end business processes to ensure and enable exceptional capabilities for our customers.  At DLA this means interweaving the operational, financial, and system business processes enabling DLA to best manage its core functions (Procure to Pay, Order to Cash, and Plan to Stock).  EPM ensures that all components of DLA processes are well-documented, auditable and continuously improving.  It provides a structure to ensure process changes support the needs of our customers, suppliers, service providers or service receivers. 

By focusing on process excellence, EPM ensures that hand offs are seamless and gaps are filled.  It facilitates efforts for process improvement and process innovation in order to sustain our superior performance, meet future requirements and establish a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
