Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support (Columbus) Electronics
The staff at the Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support (Columbus) Electronics Product Test Center prints an actuator rod fixture for switch testing with its Stratasys Fortus 450mc 3D fused deposition modeling printer. The printer created the fixture using the design displayed on the printer’s control console by building it one layer at a time using Electrostatic-Dissipative FDM Thermoplastic Filament 7. ABS-EDS7 is specially formulated with a high surface resistance to allow static electrical charges to dissipate in two seconds or less to keep sensitive electronic microcircuits and other electronic components safe during testing.
