Please feel free to express your opinions in a respectful way. Issues or problems with DLA will be resolved to the best of our ability.
Comment removal and moderation
While this page is an open forum, it's also a family friendly one, so please keep comments and posts clean. In addition to keeping it family friendly, we ask that you follow our posting guidelines. If you don't comply, your message may be removed:
- We do not allow graphic, obscene, explicit, or racist comments or submissions, nor do we allow comments that are abusive, hateful or intended to defame anyone or any organization.
- We do not allow comments that are spam. This includes comments that are "off topic," promote services or products, infringe on copyrighted material, or contain links that do not contribute to the discussion.
- We do not allow solicitations or advertisements.
- We do not allow comments that suggest or encourage illegal activity.
- You participate at your own risk, taking personal responsibility for your comments, your username, and any information provided.
- DLA will make a determination as to which comments comply with this policy and can be posted.
- Finally, the appearance of external links on this site does not constitute or imply an endorsement on behalf of the Defense Logistics Agency or the U.S. Department of Defense.
References and non-endorsement
Any references to commercial entities, products, services, or other non-governmental organizations or individuals that remain on the site are provided solely for the information of individuals using this page. These references are not intended to reflect the opinion of the DLA, the Department of Defense, the United States federal government, or its employees concerning the significance, priority, or importance to be given the referenced entity, product, service, or organization. Such references are not an official or personal endorsement of any product, person, or service, and may not be quoted or reproduced for the purpose of stating or implying DOD or U.S. government endorsement or approval of any product, person, or service.
Likes on posts or comments do not equal endorsement.
Inappropriate reporting and solicitations
Do not use DLA's social media platforms to:
- Report criminal activity. If you have information for law enforcement, please contact the appropriate military police or local civilian police agency.
- Submit unsolicited proposals, or other business ideas or inquiries. DLA's social media is not to be used for contracting or commercial business.
- Submit any claim, demand, informal or formal complaint, or any other form of legal and/or administrative notice or process, or for the exhaustion of any legal and/or administrative remedy.
Responsiveness
We recognize that social media is a 24/7 medium, and your comments are welcome at any time. However, given the need to manage federal resources, moderating and posting of comments will occur during regular business hours Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. Comments submitted after hours or on weekends will be read and potentially addressed as early as possible; in most cases, this means the next business day.
News media representatives are asked to submit questions through their normal channels and to refrain from submitting questions as comments. Reporter questions may be answered directly by DLA's Public Affairs Office.
Privacy policy
- DLA's social media platforms are not government-owned websites or applications. They are operated by a third party, and the agency’s privacy policy does not apply to the third party;
- You participate at your own risk, taking personal responsibility for your comments, your username and any information provided.
- DLA does not collect maintain, use, or share personally identifiable information that becomes available through the use its social media platforms.
- Use of social media to communicate with the agency may be provide non-government third parties access to PII.

To protect your own privacy and the privacy of others, please do not include personally identifiable information, such as social security numbers, DOD ID numbers, military police or civilian police case numbers, phone numbers or email addresses in the body of your comment. You are responsible for protecting your PII.
