E-CAT - Electronic Cataloging

E-CAT Information

The Electronic Cataloging (E-CAT) is a DLA Logistics Information Services web-based application designed to allow registered users the ability to query the status of cataloging requests and submit requests for catalog action.

Electronic Cataloging (E-Cat):

  • provides a means for:
    • inquiring  the status of cataloging requests (This link is Common Access Card or User I.D./Password enabled; if you have multiple certificates, please use your email certificate).  Searches are accomplished by:
      • National Item Identification Number (NIIN)
      • Part Number
      • DCN/PCC/DOR/ISN (includes PCCN and PLISN)
    • submitting  new cataloging requests (This link is Common Access Card or User I.D./Password enabled; if you have multiple certificates, please use your email certificate):
      • Maintenance Input - update to existing National Stock Number (NSN)
      • New NSN Request/Assignment
        • Mass load (multiple requests for new NSNs and maintenance actions) capability
      • Reinstate cancelled NSNs
      • Cancel an NSN
    • various collaboration
  • does not allow for the use of the greater than (>) or less than (<) signs in any text fields​
