Ms. Tamonie Denegall became the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Acting Deputy Inspector General for Audit in June 2025. Ms. Denegall joined DLA in February 2010 as an Audit Manager in the Internal Audit Office (renamed DLA Office of Inspector General). As Acting Deputy Inspector General for Audit, Ms. Denegall is responsible for managerial and decision authority for DLA internal audits, inspections, and evaluations. Ms. Denegall directs a highly technical and professional internal audit, inspection, and evaluation program with broad responsibilities across and throughout DLA’s large and complex organization. The breadth of audit, inspection, and evaluation topics touch every goal and objective of the Agency’s Strategic Plan to deliver readiness and lethality to the Warfighter and support the Nation through quality and proactive global logistics.
Ms. Denegall brings a wealth of experience to the position. Prior to joining DLA, Ms. Denegall spent 14 years with the U.S. Army Audit Agency; three years as the Chief of Internal Review with the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command; and three years as a project manager with the DoD Office of Inspector General.
Ms. Denegall graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Paine College in Augusta, GA; and received her Master of Business Administration from Chaminade University of Honolulu, Honolulu, HI. Ms. Denegall holds a DoD Financial Management Level 3 Certification. And is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc.
