Chief of Staff Peter Foreman originally joined DLA Disposition Services Oct. 31, 2012, as the Transformation director after retiring from the U.S. Army at the rank of colonel in 2011.
Commissioned in 1981, Foreman’s career highlights include service as Commander, C Troop, 1st Squadron, 6th Cavalry Regiment; Cavalry Troop Trainer and Company Commander for D Company, 145th Aviation Regiment; aviation brigade operations officer for the 2d Infantry Division in the Republic of Korea; commander, 2d Combat Aviation Brigade; Iraq Assistance Group deputy commander; executive officer of the Combined Security Transition Command-Afghanistan; 75th Division chief of staff and chief of staff for Combined Interagency Task Force 435.
Foreman is a graduate of Hardin Simmons University, the Command and General Staff College, and holds a master’s degree in National Security Strategy from the National Defense University.
Selected military awards and decorations include the Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit with three oak leaf clusters, the Bronze Star with two oak leaf clusters, the Army Meritorious Service Medal with four oak leaf clusters, and Joint Commendation Medal.
