Army Lieutenant Colonel Bradley J. Cooper currently serves as the Chief of Staff for the Defense Logistics Agency Energy located at Fort Belvoir, Virginia. He is a native of McDonough, Georgia and was commissioned as an active-duty 2nd Lieutenant from Georgia College and State University in May 2004 into the Ordnance Corps. LTC Cooper has served in the United States Army for over 20 years completing three deployments in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom, Operation New Dawn, and Operation Enduring Freedom.
LTC Cooper has served in several positions within the Logistics Corps to include; Maintenance Control Officer and Company Executive Officer (Fort Huachuca, Arizona), Aide-de-Camp to the Army Material Command Southwest Asia Commanding General/Third Army G4 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom 06-07 (Arifjan, Kuwait), Logistics Advisor for a Military Transition Team Operation Iraqi Freedom 08-09 supporting the 2-1 Federal Iraqi Police (Baghdad, Iraq), Battalion Operations Officer and 32 months of Company Command (Fort Stewart, Georgia), Contracting/ Resource Manager in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (Wardak/ Logar, Afghanistan). Brigade Logistic Support Team Chief and the Battalion Executive Officer for the Army Field Support Battalion- Hawaii (Schofield Barracks, Hawaii), 8th Theater Sustainment Command G3 Chief of Operations (Fort Shafter, Hawaii), Army Fellow for the Association of the United States Army (Arlington, Virginia), Army Talent Management Task Force (Washington D.C.), and the Joint Task Force with FEMA for 2020 COVID-19 response. He served as the Battalion Commander of the 194th Division Sustainment Support Battalion for the 2nd Infantry Division for 25 months (Camp Humphreys, Korea).
LTC Cooper’s military schools include Ordnance Officer Basic Course, Combatives Level 1 Course, Basic Airborne School, Combined Logistics Captain’s Career Course, and Command General and Staff College. His civilian education includes a Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology and a Masters in Business Administration. He also completed Senior Service College-Eisenhower Senior Service College- Eisenhower Class 2025 at Fort McNair (Washington D.C.)
LTC Cooper’s military awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1 OLC), the Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), the Armed Forces Service Medal, the Korean Armed Forces Medal, the Joint Army Achievement Medal, the Army Achievement Medal (2OLC), the National Defense Service Medal, Afghanistan Campaign (1 bronze star), the Iraqi Campaign Medal (2 bronze stars), the NATO support medal, the Global War on Terror Service Medal, the Overseas Service Medal (#5 device), Combat Action Badge, and the Parachutist Badge.
