Douglas Nevins is the director of DLA Land Aberdeen, one of DLA Land and Maritime’s three Depot Level Reparable detachments. DLA Land Aberdeen provides contracting support to the Army’s Communications-Electronics Command and has annual sales approaching $1 billion. Mr. Nevins also served as the first director of DLA Maritime Mechanicsburg, another DLR detachment, providing contract support to the Naval Supply Systems Command.
Prior to joining DLA, Mr. Nevins served in a variety of contracting roles within various Naval Supply Systems Command organizations. His final Navy position was the Contracting Directorate Deputy Director for the Naval Inventory Control Point Mechanicsburg, where he served as Chief of the Contracting Office for over 200 contracting professionals and oversaw a procurement budget exceeding $1 billion.
Programs under Mr. Nevins’ leadership received the Department of the Navy Competition and Procurement Excellence Award three times. Mr. Nevins is a two-time recipient of the Navy Meritorious Civilian Service Award and was a recipient of the NAVICP Career Fellowship.
Mr. Nevins is a native of Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania. He holds a bachelor’s degree in business and economics from Ursinus College and a master’s degree in business administration from LaSalle College. Mr. Nevins is also a graduate of the Naval Supply Systems Command’s Corporate Management Development Program.
