Colonel Dennis L. Han

Military Deputy Commander DLA Indo-Pacific

COL Dennis Han is a native of Philadelphia, PA, and received his commission through the Pennsylvania State University Army ROTC program in 2003. After serving two successful years as a Rifle Platoon Leader in the 2nd Infantry Division and United Nations Command Honor Guard Company, Republic of Korea, he officially transitioned into the Logistics Corps.

His first assignment as a logistician was as Logistics Advisor, Military Transition Team 0524 with 1-38th Infantry Regiment, 4th Stryker Brigade Combat Team, 2nd Infantry Division, as part of the surge for Operation Iraqi Freedom from 2007-2008. Upon redeployment, COL Han was assigned as the Battalion S2/3, Group Support Battalion, and later as Service Detachment Commander, 3rd Battalion, 1st Special Forces Group (Airborne), Joint Base Lewis-McChord, WA, with a deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom – Philippines from 2009-2010.

He returned to the Republic of Korea to serve as the Theater Plans Officer, Army Special Operations Forces Liaison Element, 528th Sustainment Brigade (Special Operations) (Airborne) and later deployed to the Central African region as the Director of Logistics in support of Operation Observant Compass from 2011-2012.

Key subsequent assignments include: Support Operations Officer & Executive Officer, 10th Brigade Support Battalion, 1st Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light Infantry), Fort Drum, NY; Distribution Integration Branch Chief, 8th Theater Sustainment Command, Fort Shafter, HI, with a deployment in support of Operation Resolute Support as the CJ4 Combined Joint Logistics Operations Officer, Deputy Chief of Staff Support, Resolute Support Headquarters, Afghanistan; Director of Logistics, Special Operations Command Korea, Camp Humphreys, Republic of Korea.

COL Han recently served as the Commander, DLA Energy Korea, Camp Walker, Republic of Korea.

COL Han holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Logistics from Pennsylvania State University; a Master of Science in Supply Chain Management from the University of Kansas; and a Master of Science in National Resource Strategy from the Eisenhower School, National Defense University, Washington, DC. He is a joint qualified officer with a military education that includes the Infantry Officer Basic Course, Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, and the U.S. Army Command and General Staff Officer Course.

COL Han’s awards and decorations include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal (1OLC), Meritorious Service Medal (4OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal (“C” device), Army Commendation Medal (“V” device / 2OLC), Joint Service Achievement Medal, Army Achievement Medal (3OLC), Master Combat Action Badge, Master Parachutist Badge, Pathfinder Badge, Ranger Tab, as well as the Canadian, Korean, and British Parachutist Badges.

COL Han is married and has two daughters.
