Brig. Gen. Sean P. Kelly, USA

Commander, DLA Troop Support

Army Brigadier General Sean P. Kelly assumed command of Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support on June 18, 2025. Under his leadership, DLA Troop Support annually provides nearly $26 billion worth of food, clothing and textiles, construction and equipment, pharmaceuticals, along with medical supplies and equipment for America’s warfighters and other values customers worldwide. To accomplish this mission, BG Kelly oversees a global workforce of more than 2,100 civilian and military personnel.

BG Kelly was commissioned as a lieutenant in 2000 and awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Criminal Justice Norwich University. BG Kelly holds a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the Naval War College, a Master of Military Studies in Military Leadership from the Marine Corps University and a Master of Military and Strategic Studies, also from the Marine Corps University.

His command assignments include Commanding General for the 13th Expeditionary Sustainment Command, Fort Hood, Texas; Commander of the 1st Armored Division Sustainment Brigade, Fort Bliss, Texas; Commander of the 325th Brigade Support Battalion, 3rd Infantry Brigade Combat Team, 25th Infantry Division in Schofield Barracks, Hawaii; Commander, Bravo Company, 782nd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Commander, Delta Company, 4th Squadron, 73rd Cavalry Regiment, 4th  Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

Brigadier General Kelly’s key staff assignments include Executive Officer to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Army G-4 in Washington, DC; Executive Officer to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Army G-8 in Washington, DC; Aide-de-camp to the Commanding General, United States Army Materiel Command at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama; Current Operations Chief, Defense Logistics Agency in Fort Belvoir, Virginia; Military Assistant to the Deputy Chief of Staff, Army G-4 in Washington, DC; Executive Officer, 782nd Brigade Support Battalion, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Support Operations Officer, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 82nd Airborne Division in Fort Bragg, North Carolina; Executive Officer, 264th Corps Support Battalion (Airborne), later Executive Officer, Logistics Task Force 46 in Fort Bragg, North Carolina.

His military education includes the Chemical Officer Basic Course, the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course, the United States Naval Command and Staff College, and the United States Marine Corps War College.

Brigadier General Kelly’s awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit with two Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, Bronze Star with two Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal with three Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, the Joint Service Commendation Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with two Bronze Oak Leaf Clusters, the Army Achievement Medal with one Bronze Oak Leaf Cluster, Senior Parachutist Wings, Pathfinder Badge, Rigger Badge and Combat Action Badge.
