Mr. Christopher Mosher is the Deputy Commander, Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support, in Philadelphia, PA. DLA is a Department of Defense Combat Support Agency. DLA Troop Support annually buys nearly $22 billion worth of food, clothing, textiles, medicines, medical supplies, construction and equipment items for America's warfighters and other customers worldwide. Mr. Mosher oversees a global workforce of approximately 2,200 civilian and military personnel.
Prior to returning to DLA Troop Support on June 16, 2025, served as the Chief Logistician – Aviation for Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Weapon Systems Support (WSS). In that role, he oversaw the aviation supply chain and related services to the Naval Aviation Enterprise for parts needed to maintain critical weapon systems. He entered the Senior Executive Service in December 2023.
In 2017, Mr. Mosher assumed the position of Director of Procurement Operations, at Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Philadelphia. Here, he led a team of acquisition professionals delivering cradle to grave contracting support for critical spare parts supporting a wide variety of military aircraft programs.
Mr. Mosher retired from the Navy after a 30-year career as a Naval Supply Corps officer. He was commissioned from the United States Naval Academy in May of 1988 and served in a variety of operational logistics positions around the globe. He served on USNS Robert E. Peary (T-AKE 5); USS Juneau (LPD 10); USS Gray (FF 1054); USS John Paul Jones (DDG 53); and USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) during deployment in support of Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
He has significant logistics experience gained during assignments at various operational and acquisition commands, as well as multiple inventory control points. This includes serving as the Director of DLA Troop Support’s Subsistence supply chain, and Commanding Officer, NAVSUP Fleet Logistics Center San Diego and he also held numerous positions at NAVSUP WSS to include Deputy Commander, Aviation; Director of Contracting; H-60 Integrated Weapon Support Team Director; and Director of Contracting Policy.
Mr. Mosher holds a Master of Science with a concentration in Acquisition and Contract Management from the Naval Postgraduate School. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania Wharton Executive Developmental Program and the Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Senior Executive Fellows Program.
