Commander, DLA Weapons Support (Columbus)

Rear Admiral Julie Treanor is the commander of Defense Logistics Agency Weapons Support (Columbus) and Defense Supply Center Columbus, Ohio. 

DLA Weapons Support, a DLA major subordinate command (MSC), is the agency’s combat logistics and supply chain manager for Class IX repair parts and components, supporting aviation, ground-based and maritime weapon systems across the Department of War. Established Oct. 1, 2025, the MSC replaced the former DLA Aviation and DLA Land and Maritime MSCs with a single unified organization to enhance warfighter support.

DLA Weapons Support leverages expertise from two locations, with operations led by commanders in both Richmond and Columbus until the MSC reaches full operational capability on Oct. 1, 2026.

As the Columbus commander, Rear Admiral Treanor oversees the end-to-end integration of the Land and Maritime Supply Chains delivering repair parts to the Military Services. She directs the efforts of more than 2,800 associates at 30 locations worldwide, to include DLA depot-level reparable detachments, Army and Marine Corps industrial sites, and detachments supporting U.S. Navy shipyards. She also serves as the installation commander for Defense Supply Center Columbus, providing installation support, services, and security for 30 tenants. As the U.S. military's integrated material manager for a wide range of weapon systems repair parts, she oversees nearly $5 billion in annual sales.

Prior to assuming command on July 28, 2025, Rear Admiral Treanor was the director of fleet ordnance and supply, U.S. Fleet Forces Command.

Rear Admiral Julie Treanor is a native of Sterling Park, Virginia, and graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1994. She holds master’s degrees in Business Administration from the University of Florida and in Military Art and Operational Science from the Air Command and Staff College. Additionally, she is a graduate of the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Executive Training Program, the University of North Carolina Kenan-Flagler Business School’s Institute for Defense and Business Logistics and Technology Advanced Program, and the Naval Postgraduate School Navy Senior Leader Seminar.

Treanor's flag assignments include Director, Fleet Supply and Ordnance (N41), U.S. Fleet Forces Command. Her afloat assignments include commissioning supply officer, USS Gerald R. Ford (CVN 78); principal assistant for logistics, principal assistant for services, and assistant supply officer, USS Enterprise (CVN 65); and wardroom officer, hazmat officer, and materials officer, USS Boxer (LHD 4).

Other assignments include Commanding Officer, Naval Supply Systems Command (NAVSUP) Fleet Logistics Center in Norfolk, Virginia; chief of staff, Office of the Chief of Naval Operations (N4L); chief of staff, Joint Staff (J4); director of Industrial Support, Naval Sea Systems Command (04S); deputy force supply officer, Commander Naval Air Forces Atlantic; director, F/A-18 & EA-18G Integrated Weapon Support Team, NAVSUP Weapon Systems Support; aviation supply officer, U.S. Marine Forces Command; CVN/LHD logistics readiness officer, Commander Naval Air Forces Pacific; action officer, Secretary of the Navy Office of White House Liaison; and deputy program manager for Logistics, Commander Navy Region Southeast.

She is qualified as a Surface Warfare Supply Corps Officer and Naval Aviation Supply Corps Officer. She is also an Acquisition Professional Member and a Joint Qualified Officer.

Her personal awards include the Defense Superior Service Medal, Legion of Merit (three awards), Meritorious Service Medal (five awards), Navy Commendation Medal (four awards), Navy Achievement Medal (three awards), and she is a 2012 recipient of the Admiral Stanley R. Arthur Award for Logistics Excellence.
