Ms. Lindsay McManus serves as the DLA INDO-PACIFIC Deputy Commander headquartered on Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam Hawaii. She shares in the overall management and direction of DLA Pacific supply chain programs and represents the Agency to the Commander, US Indo Pacific Command (USINDOPACOM), United States Forces Korea (USFK), United States Forces Japan (USFJ), Alaskan Command (ALCOM) and other military service theater commanders and supported activities. As the Deputy Commander, Ms. McManus is focused on managing and synchronizing the day-to-day operations within the Command, with concerted effort toward providing leadership and management to facilitate the strategic direction and operation of the organization.
Ms. McManus came to DLA Indo-Pacific from DLA headquarters where she served as the Chief of the Business Management Office for J3, overseeing its human capital efforts, a $185M budget, and several programs critical to operations. Prior to DLA, she held multiple contracting and business operations positions in both civilian and Department of Defense agencies, including the U.S. Department of Agriculture, the Office of Personnel Management, and Defense Counterintelligence & Security Agency. Following her tenure as the Head of the Contracting Activity and Competition Advocate at the National Endowment for the Humanities, Ms. McManus served as Director of Business Operations & Organizational Performance within the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission’s Office of Enterprise Data and Analytics. She joined DLA thereafter.
Ms. McManus entered the Navy following high school, where she served as the ship’s enlisted expert in 440V equipment aboard three Arleigh Burke class destroyers. She then earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography from California State University, Fullerton, with an emphasis on social geography using geographic information systems. Her commitment to continuous learning and professional development is evidenced by completion of the Senior Leader Program at George Washington University, courses at Harvard Business School through the Federal Acquisition Institute, and multiple certifications and awards, including an EEOC Chair Award and numerous performance accolades.
Beyond the professional sphere, Ms. McManus enjoys flying kites, cheering on the Washington Spirit and Denver Broncos, and working towards certification as a professional mediator. Lindsay shares life with her wife, Maureen, and a beloved cat named Kona.
