Ms. Karyn Runstrom currently serves as the Acting Executive Director of Logistics Policy and Programs (J34) for the Defense Logistics Agency (DLA). Ms. Runstrom leads a team of over400 civilian and military personnel. She is responsible for the development dissemination of enterprise-wide policy of key business and supply chain management functions for Order Fulfillment, Retail, Planning, Technical & Quality Assurance, Inventory Management, Transportation, Disposal and Cataloging. Ms. Runstrom also has Audit Process Health and Business Process Integration within the directorate.
J34 conducts research and analysis to provide DLA leadership with fact-based insights that shape policy development and support informed decisions internal to DLA, the Office of the Secretary of Defense, Joint Staff and military service partnership programs and initiatives.
Prior to assuming the responsibility as the J34 Executive Director, Ms. Runstrom served as the DLA Chief of Staff and the Deputy Director, DLA Information Operations (J6). She also previously served as the Deputy Executive Director for Logistics Policy and Programs (J34) for DLA Logistics Operations (J3).
Ms. Runstrom began her tenure with DLA in 2001 as a Transportation Intern in Defense Supply Center Philadelphia. Other assignments have included: J62P Portfolio Manager, Center of Planning Excellence, as well as the Retail Integration Branch Chief.
Ms. Runstrom received her Master's Degree in Business Administration from Philadelphia University and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from Penn State University.
