BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — While there may be fewer people working in the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center these days some still took time to observe a sweet tradition for Pi Day 2021.

Online class encourages healthier choices in 2021

BATTLE CREEK, Michigan — Making healthier choices is a common resolution to start a new year, and the Battle Creek Morale, Welfare and Recreation Program offered help Jan. 26 with a virtual class to encourage wiser choices in our diets.

Fitness Center expands virtual options; receives new equipment

BATTLE CREEK, Mich. — The new year is welcomed around the world with people setting resolutions to improve their lives and at the top of the list for many is to exercise more or lose weight. This year is no different. In coming weeks, the center will kick off its annual eight-week Body Transformation Series. Additionally, those looking for further assistance on their fitness journey will be able to schedule virtual appointments with trainers to help them work on their personal goals.

Virtual fitness challenge keeps patrons active

BATTLE CREEK, Michigan — Members of the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center workforce began an 8-week program July 1 to benefit their resiliency with some help from the Battle Creek Morale, Welfare and Recreation team.

Family Program Manager Lisa Grenon makes the weekly call to her virtual support group to help those struggling with their stress that comes from coping with the pandemic.

Online program still shares need for beekeeping

Battle Creek, Michigan — While Morale, Welfare, and Recreation’s Family Programs was unable to bring a popular beekeeping expert back to the Hart-Dole-Inouye Federal Center for another Lunch and Learn focusing on opportunities for veterans, there are still opportunities for people to learn this information.
