Troop Support leaders, Pennsylvania Adjutant General of discuss warfighter focus

By John Dwyer III DLA Troop Support Public Affairs

The 53rd Adjutant General of the Pennsylvania National Guard and his senior enlisted advisor visited the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support April 16.

Air Force Maj. Gen. Anthony Carrelli and Army Command Sgt. Maj. Harry Buchanan III, the Commonwealth’s senior enlisted member, received an overview of DLA Troop Support’s five supply chains and their warfighter support mission.

Following the overview, Carrelli and Buchanan toured the Product Test Center where the staff demonstrated the tests they perform on uniform items and other materials to ensure their performance in the field.

The tour ended with a stop at the flag room, where the visitors saw the presidential and vice presidential flags hand embroidered.

Carrelli expressed his thanks to Troop Support and their often unnoticed service to the warfighter.

“It’s just assumed that it’s going to happen [product acquisition and delivery],” Carrelli said. “It’s a big deal.”
