The commander of Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support recognized 67 employees during a quarterly awards ceremony June 6.
Army Brig. Gen. Charles Hamilton presided over the ceremony. He encouraged the Troop Support workforce to continue to seek out employees who deserve recognition for their contributions to the warfighter support mission.
Ted Kelly, a customer operations supervisor in the Clothing and Textiles supply chain, earned the Supervisor of the Quarter award.
He said he is an accessible supervisor who frequently engages with his team.
“I’m constantly talking to my co-workers, finding out what they’re doing, what issues they have and what problems they have that I can help with,” he said. “And I always ask them to put themselves in their customers’ shoes.”
He said that he knows awards nominations can be time-consuming, so he appreciates that his supervisor, C&T’s acting customer operations director Rich Miller, took the time to nominate him.
In addition to the 67 employees, 46 others who were slated to be recognized at the ceremony were unable to attend.
