COLUMBUS, Ohio –
Defense Supply Center Columbus’ Morale, Welfare and Recreation Office held a Unit Cookie Call Feb. 25 for Ohio Army National Guard units at Building 24’s drill hall on base.
During the Cookie Call, 300 freshly baked cookies were distributed to guardsmen from units that included the Recruit Sustainment Program, 285th Area Support Medical Company and 684th Area Support Medical Company.
As the cookies were distributed to Soldiers, MWR staff handed out information on the DSCC MWR programs and spoke with the Soldiers about the different MWR programs.
DSCC is home to more than 8,000 military and federal personnel and a logistics center providing weapons system and platform support to U.S. forces and other non-Defense Department federal agencies across the globe. Defense Logistics Agency Land and Maritime manages more than 2 million unique inventory parts to support several thousand multi-service weapons systems and the warfighters who rely on them. The installation also hosts Defense Finance and Accounting Service’ Columbus branch, National Guard and Reserve units and a military recruiting command headquarters.
