OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. –
On Tuesday, Oct. 9 at approximately 8:10 a.m. central time, an F1 tornado touched down in vicinity of DLA Distribution Oklahoma City, Oklahoma’s buildings 510 and 506. Personnel were directed to take shelter and command was able to obtain 100 percent accountability with zero injuries.
Building 510, a bulk warehouse was closed down and checked for structural damage. There were reports the roof raised up and down three times. Additionally Building 510’s ventilation units were ripped from rooftop. While another unit appeared to be just sitting on the roof. A Yellow Trucking Trailer blew over while parked at the Building 506 shipping dock. Oklahoma City personnel have begun emergency repairs with debris removal and repairing the damage to Building 510.
