Susquehanna’s MWR hosts Beast Mode Strength Competition

Defense Distribution Center Susquehanna, Family and Morale, Welfare and Recreation Division held the Beast Mode Strength Competition, Feb. 18 to 22, in the fitness center on the New Cumberland, Pennsylvania installation.

The event was open to all eligible ID or common access card holders, aged 18 and older.

Signing up for a day and time, six women and eight men participated in the event, consisting of bench presses, dead lifts and leg presses. Contestants performed three proper reps of each event to count weight. The total weight was added together for the results.

In the end, a female and male champion were named.  Marine Sgt. Cynthia Mercedes Godinez of the 4th Marine Corps District, lifted a combined weight of 740 pounds (bench press, leg press, deadlift). U.S. Army Security Assistance Command’s Central Case Manager Daniel R. Stephen, lifted a combined weight of 1,530 pounds (bench press, leg press, deadlift).
