COLUMBUS, Ohio –
The Defense Supply Center Columbus Pass and ID Real-time Automated Identification System team was recognized by the Under Secretary of Defense for Personnel and Personal Readiness for outstanding customer service.
The team received the Rapids High Flyer certificate of performance from Defense Logistics Agency Security and Emergency Services Staff Director Patrick Wright May 28, 2019 for the time period of Oct. 1, 2017 to Sept. 30, 2018.
“This award means a great deal to the staff and me at Pass & ID,” said John Yruegas, supervisory security assistant. “Particularly because the period it covers is one year. It show a truly consistent effort to serve our customers at the highest level we’re capable of, day in and day out.”
This recognition acknowledges the support the DSCC Pass and ID team provided not just to DLA customers, but for all DOD customers.
Sites were evaluated by the Defense Manpower Data Center on their common access card success rate, user management maintenance and utilization.
“Our Pass & ID Staff is one of the best in all of DLA,” said Michael Wood, security and emergency services chief. “Their dedication to the mission and customer focus provides outstanding service to anyone needing identification. It’s an honor to be recognized by DMDC.”
