KAISERSLAUTERN, Germany –
Two host nation civilian employees who work for the Defense Logistics Agency in Kaiserslautern, Germany, were recognized for 35 years of service to the U.S. government.
Isolde Hart and Barbara Nagel work for DLA Troop Support Europe & Africa and were recognized during a ceremony Dec. 6 at Ramstein Air Base. Although Nagel was unable to attend the ceremony.
Hart is a tailored vendor logistics specialist and has worked for DLA Troop Support for nine years. She regularly works with military customers in the Middle East to ensure they receive subsistence support, including food and bottled water.
Nagel has worked as a contract specialist in several commodities and is now a subsistence contracting officer. She previously managed the contract to relocate the Troop Support Europe & Africa office from Kastel, Germany to Kaiserslautern, overseeing every step of the successful move.
“This recognition for their time in service is an important accomplishment personally for Barbara and Isolde,” Army Lt. Col. Sherdrick Rankin, DLA Troop Support Europe & Africa commander, said. “It’s even more significant for DLA, because of the knowledge and experience they contribute to our warfighter support mission and the continuity they provide for our organization.”
The 86th Force Support Squadron at Ramstein annually recognizes host nation employees from DLA, the Air Force and the Defense Commissary Agency for their service to the U.S. government.
