Food Summit looks to future of 27+ DAF stateside dining operations

$2.85M meals airlifted to Germany in support of NATO allies

From February 2022 to October 2022, the Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Subsistence supply chain faced unique challenges in response to thousands of warfighters deploying to Eastern Europe in support of NATO allies.

Newly minted CPI Green Belts save time, man-hours with improved Subsistence processes

PHILADELPHIA — Continuous process improvement isn’t just a heady concept thrown around by think tanks and executives. It’s a real, painstaking, value-added effort – and it pays off, said Rene King, Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support CPI division chief. Two recent CPI projects completed in the Subsistence supply chain are proof of its effectiveness, with a combined savings of $1.9 million in time and costs.

Monarch DFAC leads the way in automating food preparation

DLA Troop Support Europe and Africa team demonstrates subsistence excellence in support of USS Hershel "Woody" Williams

PHILADELPHIA — Defense Logistics Agency Troop Support Europe and Africa provided operational subsistence support to the USS Hershel “Woody” Williams from August 10 to November 1 this year. Packages were delivered during four port calls in Accra, Ghana; Bradbury, Angola; Cape Town, South Africa; and Cotati, Seychelles.

DLA provides food, medicine to incoming Afghans in support of Operation Allies Welcome

PHILADELPHIA — The Defense Logistics Agency provided more than $42 million worth of food and nearly 448,000 doses of 15 different vaccines to Afghan nationals in support of Operation Allies Welcome over the past three months, while standing by to provide additional assistance to U.S. Northern Command and other mission partners.
