NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
Senior Chief Petty Officer Michael Ruputz, Joint Senior Enlisted Leader, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Norfolk, Virginia, has been named the DLA Senior Enlisted Reservist of the Year for 2021.
Ruputz leadership directly led to the advancement and career development of multiple enlisted personnel at DDNV, and one enlisted service member being named the 2020 DLA Joint Reserve Force’s Junior Enlisted Reservist of the Year.
As Joint Senior Enlisted Leader, Ruputz led the cohesive efforts of 30 sailors and airmen through the rapidly changing workload and high paced functions of mission essential tasks.
Under the leadership of Ruputz, 30 Joint Reserve Force members would execute 6,903 hours of mission essential support, processing 10.2 million items in support of DDNV and the material management mission.
In addition to his mission essential functions Ruputz volunteers his personal time to the Chief Petty Officer Association, raising funds that directly impact the local community and supports both active and reserve U.S. Navy sailors.
Ruputz actions, dedication and devotion to supporting the warfighter reflect great credit upon himself, DDNV and DLA Distribution as a whole.
