Organization: DLA Aviation at Ogden, Utah

What is your job title, and what do you do, specifically? In my position as a management analyst, I process system authorization access requests, manage operation security, information security, emergency management and anti-terrorism programs. I’m also a trusted agent for the industrial product-support vendor program.

What do you like most about your job? The people at DLA Aviation at Ogden team! My teammates are awesome!

What has been your major contribution to your organization this year in your job? Being the focal point for all the COVID-19 related issues, such as reporting daily numbers of personnel physically at work, teleworking and on leave, to DLA Headquarters.

What aspect(s) of your current job gives you the most personal satisfaction and why? Going out and seeing our teammates located throughout Hill Air Force Base. Participating in tabletop exercises on emergency management issues such as active shooter, shelter in place, bomb threats, suspicious personnel, etc., and knowing our team is ready to react to an emergency that presents itself.  

If you could speak directly to the warfighters you support, what would you tell them? I would simply tell them thank you!

What are some of your passions outside of work? Some of my passions outside of work are camping, golfing, riding my utility task vehicle.

What’s the most thrilling/adventurous thing you have ever done? That’s easy: surfing! Being out in the water/line up is the most peaceful and relaxing place!

What is your proudest accomplishment? Retiring from the Air Force after 20 years of service.

What five things could you not live without? The five things I couldn’t live without are my wife, children, pets, motorhome and utility task vehicle.

What type of music do you most enjoy? I enjoy all types of music; alternative, rock, country and ‘70s Funk and Soul.
