In a Sept. 1 ceremony, Navy Supply Corps officer Jeretta R. Dillon, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Bahrain commander, was promoted to the rank of captain by Navy Supply Corps Rear Adm. Joseph D. Noble, the director of DLA Logistics Operations.
Dillon’s family and friends, including her mother, Patricia Tomsey, fiancé Rami Kamel and several close friends from Tampa, Florida, attended the promotion ceremony in the DLA Distribution Bahrain warehouse.
During the ceremony, Dillon was also presented with the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal for her admirable volunteer efforts providing shelter and sustainment for rescue dogs and cats. The MOVSM recognizes members of the military, including reservists, who distinguish themselves through outstanding community service.
Following the pinning of her new rank, Dillon then reaffirmed her commitment to the Navy by taking the oath of office.
