DLA Installation Management San Joaquin’s White recognized as the DLA Employee of the Quarter

Police Officer Jacob White of the Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management San Joaquin Police Department was selected as the DLA Employee of the Quarter, third quarter, fiscal year 2022.

White possesses great attention-to-detail and dedication to duty. He diligently inspected over 400 incoming and outgoing commercial vehicles resulting in 12 individuals denied access to the installation.

He continued to be a high performer while the department’s manning and shift coverage were below normal manning levels.

“Officer White's expertise was paramount in the flawless completion of all tasks and inspections,” said Supervisory Police Officer Jared Barone.

He completes all assignments on time and willingly puts in extra time to ensure the overall improvement of the department. All case reports are completed in a timely manner and meet all requirements.

White has been assigned as a field training officer, the single most critical position within the field training program. This position requires long hours, leadership capacity, exceptional patience, superior attention-to-detail and above-average communication skills.

Further, he created a digital template of all required FTO documentation and made it available to all officers and created a digital training reference for sergeants and new officers streamlining the process. The database has enhanced the training capabilities and productivity of the department.

He has the ability to understand how the new police officers learn and adapts their training, effectively increasing the capabilities of the training delivered by the FTOs . He has been a mentor, guide and role model for the new officers directly impacting the creation of numerous professional and ethical officers.

White continues to actively improve his skills and seeks additional projects to improve the police department. His selection as the Employee of the Quarter is evident that he is a valued asset to the DLA community.
