Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Sean Tyler wrapped up his tour of the six industrial support activities with a two-day trip to DLA Aviation at Jacksonville, Florida, Oct. 25 and 26.

Senior leadership for DLA Aviation’s Customer Operations Directorate accompanied Tyler to Jacksonville. They included the director of the Directorate, Air Force Col. Dan Willison, Chief of the Directorate’s Navy Customer Facing Division Navy Capt. Ron Hoak and Marine Col. Michael Kline, division chief of the Directorate’s Marine Corp Customer Facing Division.

DLA Aviation at Jacksonville Officer-in-Charge Navy Cmdr. Brandon Palmer hosted the visit.

During his time in Jacksonville, Tyler participated in a town hall with DLA Aviation Jacksonville staff where he gave out length of service awards and coined employees for outstanding performance. He also helped kick off the annual Toys for Tots campaign.

The DLA Aviation Richmond group got an opportunity to see firsthand Fleet Readiness Center Southeast’s sheet metal manufacturing, pattern layout, multi-axis computer numerical control and additive manufacturing equipment. They also toured FRCSE’s T-6 Texan and F-5 Tiger fighter jets production lines and DLA Distribution Jacksonville retail, wholesale and F-35 Strike Fighter jet warehouses.

“The Jacksonville team and I were thrilled to welcome Brig. Gen. Tyler, Col. Willison, Col. Kline and Capt. Hoak to Jacksonville. Their participation in our town hall and Toys for Tots kick-off, afforded me the opportunity to recognize some of our cornerstone and hard charging employees in the presence of senior leadership from our organization’s headquarters.” Palmer said. “Throughout the visit, the support from FRCSE and DLA Distribution Jacksonville was tremendous and really illuminated how our continued partnership and collaboration is critical to mission success.”
