During the visit, the Air Force gave an overview on how DLA is supported through the Expeditionary Logistics Readiness Squadron’s Inbound and Outbound cargo section that is a part of the Transportation Flight, as well as through the Materiel Management Flight’s Customer Service, Inventory, Equipment Accountability Element, Retail Sales, Aircraft Parts Store and their Expeditionary Theater Distribution Center.

Representatives from the Inbound and Outbound Transportation Management Office explained to DST-ME how the Cargo Movement Operations System shifts shipment data to the global air transportation execution system of cargo received.

Systems like CMOS provide real time updates, allowing the DST-ME to receive shipping information for parts that have gone through customs and arrived at ASAB for further processing.
