Navy Reserve officer receives prestigious award

Navy Lt. Cmdr. Benjamin Chen, executive officer for Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Joint Reserve Force in Richmond, Virginia, was honored as one of five recipients of the calendar year 2022 Vice Adm. Robert F. Batchelder Award. The award, established in 1983 by the Navy League of the United States, is presented annually to the Navy’s top supply corps officers in the ranks of O-1 through O-4, who made significant contributions to the supply readiness of Navy operating forces. Batchelder served on active duty from 1917-1957.

RICHMOND, Va. –

Navy Lt. Cmdr. Benjamin Chen, executive officer for Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Joint Reserve Force in Richmond, Virginia, was honored as one of five recipients to receive the calendar year 2022 Vice Adm. Robert F. Batchelder Award.
