NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
Chong Pil Ho, with Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Korea, is one of three recipients of the DLA Employee of the quarter award, for the 3rd quarter of fiscal year 2023.
Ho has demonstrated outstanding performance and achievements that support DLA’s mission and vision, while exemplifying DLA’s core values of leadership, professionalism, and technical excellence.
He has a very strong understanding of diagnostics for automobiles as well as other electronic devices and has an intuitive approach to hunting down problems. He puts that same level of dedication into simple processes such as oil changes and tire rotations.
Ho is the only mechanic for DLA Distribution Korea and Camp Carroll that can service and repair both Korean and U.S. manufactured material handling equipment. He has saved DDDK thousands of dollars by repairing equipment himself such as heat sealers, shrink wrap machines, scales and the warehouse sweeper.
Ho’s tirelessness and unwavering dedication to his role has earned him the respect of his colleagues and has helped DDDK retain thousands of dollars in repair costs.
Ho has completed all scheduled and unscheduled repair services for all 70 pieces of MHE valued at over $2.9 million this period, including nine government vehicles. He has a very strong understanding of diagnostics for automobiles as well as other electronic devices and an intuitive approach to hunting down diagnostic problems.
Without Ho’s talent for resourcefulness in repairing DDDK machinery and equipment, DDDK would have had to purchase new equipment costing thousands per machine. Not only does Ho save DDDK thousands of dollars, he also ensures that all operational issues are resolved proficiently and efficiently.
