RICHMOND, Va. –
Defense Logistics Agency’s new senior enlisted leader made his first trip to DLA Aviation on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, since taking over the position back in August.
Air Force Command Chief Master Sgt. Alvin Dyer had an executive engagement Sept. 27 with DLA Aviation Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Sean Tyler and met with directorate leaders and military members assigned to Aviation in Richmond.
Dyers site visit was topped off with a tour of DSCR, including experiencing the Bellwood Elk in person, and several other historical aspects of the installation.
“I wanted to get out and see all the great things our professionals are doing for the warfighter,” Dyer said. “I learned about the unique mission of DLA Aviation and how I can assist to ensure they’re successful at providing world-class service to the nation’s warfighters.”
Tyler said it was an honor hosting the agency’s senior enlisted leader.
“We accomplished our goal of providing Chief Master Sergeant Dyer with a DLA Aviation mission overview, tour of the installation and engagement opportunity with our workforce. The Chief walked away with a great understanding and appreciation for the great work our employees due in support of the warfighter,” Tyler said.
