RICHMOND, Va. –
The Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Hall of Fame recognizes former employees who have made significant, enduring contributions to the aviation demand and supply chain.
Close to 300 family, friends, and current employees joined five previously inducted Hall of Fame members during a ceremony held Oct. 17 in the Frank B. Lotts Conference Center on Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia.
DLA Aviation Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Sean Tyler hosted the ceremony, saying all inductees are proud examples for DLA Aviation, our community, and our nation.
“Our former teammates will now be immortalized, along with the 37 others, forever on the Hall of Fame wall in the front lobby of building 46 here on Defense Supply Center Richmond,” he said.
This year’s ceremony brings the total number of DLA Aviation’s Hall of Fame members to 42.
“I highly encourage not only our folks in Richmond, but at all our DLA Aviation locations to continue nominating individuals like this year’s recipients of this prestigious award. We have many people with phenomenal talents who do great things for our organization. I look forward to seeing you up here on this stage as new Hall of Fame inductees in the future.” Tyler said.
The five previously inducted Hall of Fame members honored during the ceremony were:
- Alma Charles
- Denise Canada
- Kenneth Winslette
- Michael Kennedy
- Robert Wrenn
Tyler said, “We are honored to induct you into our Aviation Hall of Fame. Thank you for what you have done for this organization, the DLA community and for our warfighters. May God continue to bless you and your family.”
Each inductee received a medal to wear during the ceremony, as well as a commemorative plaque.
