NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
Army Lt. Col. Toby A. Williford relinquished command of Defense Logistics Agency Anniston, Alabama, to Army Lt. Col. Bandon S. Ebel during a ceremony held at Anniston Army Depot, Alabama, July 10. Navy Rear Adm. Michael A. York, commander, DLA Distribution, presided over the ceremony.
“Toby, you embody the DLA tenant of warfighter always and understand why we exist -- to provide the best possible support, whether to our military, or our federal agency partners,” said York. “You commanded with extreme effectiveness through your demonstrated ability to anticipate and adapt to changing situations rapidly.”
Williford oversaw the daily operations of the distribution center that provides multiple services to the warfighter, including reciprocal engine kitting, joint vehicle inspections, camouflage painting, and disassembly, assembly, modification and minor repair of small arms weapons. He and his team of 240 employees successfully managed more than 5 million assets valued at nearly 12 billion dollars within the 35 million cubic feet of storage area, executing more than 100,000 transactions annually.
He is relieved by Ebel who was previously assigned as a leadership instructor at the Army’s Command and General Staff College.

Army Lt. Col. Brandon S. Ebel, a native of Arlington, Texas was commissioned as a lieutenant of the Ordnance Corps in 2006 and awarded a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Texas State University. Lt. Col. Ebel holds a Master of Science in Administration from Central Michigan University. His military education includes the Ordnance Officers’ Basic Course, the Logistics Captains’ Career Course, and the Intermediate Level Education.
