DLA’s magazine Loglines returns after hiatus

By Nancy Benecki

Loglines, the Defense Logistics Agency’s magazine, is back.

DLA Director Army Lt. Gen. Mark Simerly relaunched the magazine during the agency’s Global Town Hall May 14.

“At DLA, we have an opportunity to lead and shape thought across the Department of Defense when it comes to defense logistics,” Simerly said. “The Defense Logistics Agency should be a thought leader, and it is. This magazine is evidence of that.”

The magazine first published in 1994 and ran for more than 25 years before going on hiatus six years ago.

In this latest version, Loglines is a professional journal featuring white papers including, "Support at the Forward Edge of the Battlefield: Lessons Learned," "Modernizing Defense Logistics: Converging Kill Chains and Supply Chains," and "Utilization of Artificial Intelligence to Illuminate Supply Chain Risk."

“This flagship publication emphasizes our commitment to continuous learning and adaptation to meet the evolving challenges of defense logistics,” Simerly said in a message to the DLA workforce about the magazine’s return.

The latest issue also includes a one-on-one interview with DLA Vice Director Brad Bunn, and articles that explore the agency’s contributions to national security and global readiness.

Other articles feature information about securing the nation’s southern border, homeland defense and protecting the military’s supply chains by keeping sensitive gear out of enemy hands.

Loglines is available digitally on the DLA website.
