NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. –
New Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Bahrain commander Navy Cmdr. Joshua Langhorne recently conducted a series of All Hands meetings to recognize employees and outline his leadership philosophy.
Emphasizing courage, integrity, resilience, and compassion, Langhorne said he aims to cultivate a command climate founded on trust and collaboration. He shared personal anecdotes, including his experiences at previous assignments, his favorite foods and the influence of his father, a retired Navy chaplain.
During the All-Hands meetings, outstanding personnel were also recognized.
- Navy Logistics Specialist Second Class Robert Massena received the Military of the Quarter award for exceptional leadership in cold chain operations, supporting over 2,000 line items, and contributions to unit morale through the design of command-branded merchandise.
- Shannah Roland-Joseph was awarded Civilian of the Quarter for her expertise and dedication to DLA Distribution Bahrain. Noteworthy accomplishments include resolving a critical mis-shipment and improving Care of Supplies in Storage packing standards.
