Bahrain’s Freeman-Irons promoted to Technical Sergeant

By Brianne M. Bender DLA Distribution Public Affairs

On Feb. 7, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Bahrain’s Adreana Freeman-Irons pinned on the rank of Air Force Technical Sergeant.

Hailing from Lima, Ohio, Freeman-Irons joined the Air Force in March 2008 with the intention to start a career, further her education and gain experience. She was able to complete the Community College of the Air Force in the top 1.6 percent of enlisted airmen with an Associate's Degree in logistics, materials and supply chain management. Additionally, she received her Bachelor of Science from DeVry University and a Masters of Business Administration from Walden University.

Additionally, Freeman-Irons has teamed with 84 coalition nations and facilitated the distribution of 3 million maps, securing DLA’s “on time, every time” vision. She has also led three quarterly inventories, validating 8,000 line items and 72,000 classified products with zero errors.

“Tech. Sgt. Freeman-Irons' promotion clearly speaks to not only her endeavors with Air Force Materiel Command earlier in 2015, but her exceptional performance during her remote assignment in Bahrain as well. She's a top performer and most deserving of this rare opportunity,” said DLA Distribution Bahrain deputy commander, Paul McMillan.

Freeman-Irons continues working toward her goals to be accepted into the Air Force Wholesale Logistics Career Broadening program and to enroll in the Enlisted Joint Military Professional Education course. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her husband and children, shop, coupon and read.

Following her time in Bahrain, Freeman-Irons will be heading to her next duty station in Arizona, Davis Monthan Air Force Base.
