DLA representatives will be at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, March 22-23 to provide training and information to current and prospective military and DoD customers from the base and other military installations.
The forum, known as the Warfighter Support Initiative, will educate participants about the agency’s ordering systems, supply chains, products and services and obtain customer feedback. Fort Bragg is the second of four regions to feature the event. The agency visited Camp Lejeune, North Carolina, in October and will visit Naval Station Norfolk, Virginia, in June and Joint Base Langley-Eustis, Virginia, later this year.
“We are hosting these events as a way to foster more direct two-way communication with as many of our customers as we can,” said Guy Beougher, executive director of DLA operations. “Our goal is for them to have a better understanding of what we do and for us to hear firsthand what we are doing well and how we can improve to best support their needs.”
As DoD’s combat logistics support agency, DLA provides full spectrum logistics support across the range of DoD missions. DLA delivers fuel, subsistence, uniforms and uniform items, personal protective equipment, medical support, construction supplies, repair parts, logistics information data, warehousing and logistics movement/transportation to warfighters worldwide.
The event, which includes break-out information sessions and exhibits and displays, will take place at the Fort Bragg Catering and Conference Center, at 2658 Reilly Rd. It is free and open to all DoD common access card holders, military and civilian. No pre-registration is required. Attendees should sign in at the desk outside the exhibit hall.
