David C. Ennis, former deputy commander at DLA Distribution San Joaquin, Calif., will be one of the newest inductees to the DLA Hall of Fame in honor of his 39 years of exceptional service.

Ennis’ career with the Defense Logistics Agency began on the warehouse floor as a laborer, and later included work in the areas of planning, productivity and financial management.  He worked his way to high-level positions within the distribution center including director of Administrative Service Center West, director of Mission Operations and, finally, DLA Distribution San Joaquin, Calif., deputy commander.

In 1984, he was named one of the 10 Outstanding DLA Personnel and received the DLA Meritorious Civilian Service Award in 1991 and 2001, the second highest civilian award in DLA.

The induction ceremony will be held 10:30 a.m. Sept. 20, at the DLA McNamara Headquarters Complex auditorium.
