Generators of excess property approved for turn-in by their servicing Disposal Service Representative (DSR) will make an appointment at a DLA Disposition Services site by utilizing organic/self-transport, work with the Transportation Management Office (TMO) to transport or arrange with DLA Disposition Services to utilize the Generator’s Transportation Account Code (TAC) to provide for transportation costs. Generator is responsible for the packaging and loading of property in all scenarios.

Directions

Ft Cavazos is a closed base. DoD ID cards are required to enter. Visitors without DoD ID cards must obtain a temporary pass at the Main Gate Entrance.

From Highway 190, take TJ Mills exit (from airport go east on 190). : Continue traveling on TJ Mills to Hell On Wheels. Turn left, site is just past LRC Transportation Motor Pool on the right.

Note: For commercial trucks, take Clarke Road exit, North on Clarke Road, right on Tank Destroyer, left on 72nd Street, right on Ivy Division, right on 56th Street to Hell On Wheels, turn right, just past LRC Transportation Motor Pool on the right.

Entrance is off Ivy

Division Exit is off Hell on Wheels

NOTE: For commercial trucks, take Clarke Road exit, North on Clarke Road, right on Tank Destroyer, left on 72nd St, right on Ivy Division (site is just past the 215 Motor Pool on the right).

 

Additional Information

It can take 2-3 hours to get through the Clarke Road Truck gate. The site stops taking trucks at 1430.
