Aggressive contamination cleanup efforts paying off on DCSR
Community members virtually attended the Defense Logistics Agency Installation Management Richmond’s quarterly Restoration Advisory Board meeting April 12, 2021. Those who joined received an update on the drastic reduction in plumes within Operable Unit 7, the groundwater contaminated by such volatile organic compounds as tetrachloroethene and trichloroethene. OU 7 is located within the former fire training area just south of Parker Pond on the southeast side of Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia.
