Defense Logistics Agency Aviation Commander Air Force Brig. Gen. Allan Day signs the final structural beam that will be placed on Phase I of the new DLA Aviation Operations Center at Defense Supply Center Richmond, Virginia, in a “topping off” ceremony held on the construction site Nov. 3, 2016. The beam will go in one of the elevator shafts and finalizes the framing of the building. The Phase I building should be completed and ready for occupancy by DLA Aviation employees between December 2017 and January 2018.
