Distribution gains two sexual assault response coordinators

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — DLA Distribution now has two sexual assault response coordinators or SARC’s available to help ensure employees have a safe work environment that is free of sexual assault. A.J. Brandt is based out of DLA Distribution Susquehanna, Pennsylvania, and Esther Almas is based out of DLA Distribution San Joaquin, California.

Agency employees learn to value ‘sound of silence’

Improving communication among the workforce has long been a goal of the Defense Logistics Agency, and employees over the years have asked for instruction in American Sign Language to help them communicate with their deaf and hard-of-hearing coworkers.

Guests share Native American songs, weapons, experiences

But for Native Americans, they all have been integral features of daily Indian life, made by hand in ways that reflect Native values and beliefs, according to guest speakers at the McNamara Headquarters Complex’s Nov. 16 observance of National American Indian Heritage Month.
