16th annual international DLA Energy Europe and Africa Fuel Exchange Agreements Forum

Representatives from 15 countries met in person for the first time in two years to talk fuel infrastructure, future operations and increased partnership opportunities during the 16th annual DLA Fuel Exchange Agreements Forum in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany, Nov. 16-18. Since 2007, the Forum has provided officials the opportunity to learn more about the DLA Energy International Fuel Agreement program and share information within the NATO fuel community.

Senator Bob Dole, 98, passed away December 5 in his sleep. He served in the U.S. Senate for a quarter of a century, ran for the office of President of the United States, served in the Army in World War II and lived for a short time in Battle Creek, Michigan.

Defense Secretary Lloyd J. Austin III announced Dec. 2 that the President has nominated Marine Corps Brig. Gen. Keith D. Reventlow, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution commanding general, for the appointment to the two-star rank of major general.

Federal Center employees deliver Christmas at Salvation Army

At the end of each year Defense Logistics Agency employees at the Hart Dole Inouye Federal Center in Battle Creek, Michigan, work together to make the holidays a little brighter for families in need. Working with the local Salvation Army, DLA Installation Support’s Battle Creek Morale, Welfare and Recreation staff coordinate the Federal Center’s Adopt-A-Family Program. The program includes veterans that are patents at the local Veteran Affairs hospital and other families in the community.

DLA Aviation employees do big things in September

Dylan Brock, a customer support specialist with Defense Logistics Agency Aviation at Ogden on Hill Air Force Base, Utah and John Villanueva, a logistics management specialist with DLA Aviation at Jacksonville, Florida, were selected as Defense Logistics Agency Aviation’s Employees of the Month for September. Villanueva won in the general schedule (GS) 10-13 category. Brock took the award in the GS 1-9 category.
