KC-135 MOD program closes out year with magic number: Block 45

TINKER AIR FORCE BASE, Okla. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Air Mobility Command website — The KC-135 Block 45 upgrade program reached a milestone by closing out 2016 with the 45th aircraft in the modification line at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. Block 45 completely remodels the inside of the flight deck with new liquid crystal displays, radio altimeter, autopilot, digital flight director and other computer module updates.

DLA Distribution practices the Continuity of Operations Plan

COLUMBUS, Ohio — In keeping with the efforts to strengthen our preparedness capabilities, the Continuity of Operations planners of Defense Logistics Agency Distribution recently took selected members of the Emergency Relocation Group to an alternate work site.

The Columbus Optimistic Ladies perform a dance routine during the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. birthday observance ceremony at Defense Supply Center Columbus. The Jan. 19 event featured music, performances, and a presentation honoring the life and legacy of Dr. King.

Navy Cargo Handling Battalion 1 Returns to Support Operation Deep Freeze

Bagwell becomes newest DLA Distribution Joint Team Lead

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pennsylvania — United States Navy Capt. Pele Bagwell assumed the position of DLA Distribution Joint Team Lead in a Jan. 7 ceremony officiated by DLA Joint Reserve Force director Navy Rear Adm. Deborah Haven.

U.S. Air Force Master Sgt. Eric Jones, boom operator assigned to the 134th Air Refueling Wing, Tennessee Air National Guard, refuels 13th and 14th Fighter Squadron F-16 Fighting Falcon’s over Northern Japan, Jan. 18, 2017. Boom operators refuel various types of aircraft in midair, extending the amount of time spent on training or combat missions.

Tennessee Tanker Fuels Misawa Falcons

LITTLESTOWN, Pennsylvania — Travis Hartlaub, son of Maryann Hartlaub, Defense Logistics Agency Distribution Future Operations, recently unveiled a veteran’s memorial as his Eagle Scout project

DLA supports presidential inauguration’s military participants

PHILADELPHIA — Many of the more than 5,000 service members participating in the 58th Presidential Inauguration ceremonies Jan. 20 will wear clothing items provided by DLA Troop Support.
