ANNISTON, Ala. — Marcus Woods, vehicles and artillery division supervisor at DLA Distribution Anniston, Alabama, was selected as the Employee of the Quarter for the second quarter of fiscal year 2018.

Energy’s Air Force officer receives DLA award

Air Force Capt. Cynthia Rodriguez received the Defense Logistics Agency Company Grade Officer of the Quarter for the third quarter of fiscal year 2018. Rodriguez is currently deployed as the DLA Energy Middle East liaison officer to Combined Joint Task Force – Operation Inherent Resolve where she coordinates daily fuel delivery for eight sites in Iraq and Syria.

Distribution honors 98th annual Women’s Equality Day

NEW CUMBERLAND, Pa. — The women’s suffrage movement began in 1848 at the Seneca Falls Convention in Seneca Falls, New York. Convened by suffragist leaders Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott, the committee published a “Declaration of Sentiments.” The declaration outlined key social, civil and political demands for women, helping the cause of women’s suffrage gain national prominence. Nearly 72 years later, the 19th Amendment to the Constitution was passed Aug. 26, 1920, granting women throughout the United States the right to vote.
