Learn to make an emergency plan with Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management

PHILADELPHIA — Employees at DLA Philadelphia can learn how to make and practice your emergency plan with the Philadelphia Office of Emergency Management Sept. 6 at 11:30 a.m. in the Bldg. cafeteria.

Guest speaker David McKernan offers tips and advice on making an emergency plan during the National Preparedness Month closing ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex Sept. 29. McKernan serves as the operations manager for the Fairfax County Office of Emergency Management in Virginia.

‘Be Strong, Be Prepared, Be Ready’ takeaway of National Preparedness Month

Fort Belvoir, Virginia — Being prepared for a disaster involves making an emergency plan and knowing how to execute it when and if a disaster strikes, the emergency management coordinator for Fairfax County, Virginia, said Sept. 29 during the National Preparedness Month closing ceremony at the McNamara Headquarters Complex.
