U.S. Air Force Maj. Robert Riggs, U.S. Marine Corps Forces, Special Operations Command air mobility liaison officer, assists in loading cargo aboard a C-17 aircraft at Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point, North Carolina. As MARSOC’s AMLO, Riggs provides a critical link of communication between the airlift and ground forces in the area of operations. He facilitated the mission from planning and coordination through hands-on facilitation by piloting the aircraft as it deployed and re-deployed two MARSOC units.

U.S. Marine Corps Forces Special Operations Command, Air Mobility Command coordinate transportation

MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP LEJEUNE, N.C. — Logistics In Action: Article originally appeared on the Marines website — MARSOC strives to move troops and supplies around the world where needed to answer the nation’s call. MARSOC utilizes its U.S. Air Force counterparts from the Air Mobility Command to expedite the process of quickly and efficiently getting those troops and supplies to areas of interest.

DLA welcomes Special Operations Command leaders to the McNamara Headquarters Complex

Building stronger relationships and exploring ways to improve DLA’s support for the global Special Operations Forces mission were the goals as DLA and Special Operations Command leaders met for the second SOCOM/DLA Day at the McNamara Headquarters Complex March 1.
